When the king of the animal kingdom has tea, he sips Madagascar Vanilla red Tea. Together with its impressive aroma and rich taste, this naturally caffeine-free red tea tastes with real Madagascar vanilla beans resonates with the wonders of Africa. South African rooibos tea is actually prized for its refreshing flavor, hot or even iced, and as a resource associated with anti-oxidants. Wrap yourself around a steaming cup or capture the chill of roaring good refreshment! This merchandise contains all-natural substances as well as flavors, and absolutely no unnatural colors or preservatives.

I am a tea lover, and have found rooibos, with the bonus of vanilla flavoring, to be a satisfying option to other decaffeinated goods. Commonly, unless one loves weak botanical herb teas, decaffeinated tea has barely any kind of flavor. The richness of rooibos is pleasurable, and the vanilla essence is a wonderful blend. I would caution those who choose strong teas that rooibos are of very light strength. I found I needed to use two sachets per cup, and steep them for ten minutes, for the blend to be able to be gratifying. The vanilla aroma is so soothing and the flavor is incredible. I add half milk as well as half water with a little sweetener. It is so excellent that I use it in place of a dessert. more info

If you’re a tea drinker like I am, you’ve tried many brands, blends and have loads of different kinds in your cupboard.

This is by far my favorite tea out there…I actually stumbled apon it, I didn’t even know it existed except that I bought a box of my usual tea and there was a sample pack of this Vanilla Red inside. I loved it. But I couldn’t find it anywhere near me in stores.

I checked it out at Celestial Seasonings and found it but it was cheeper here at Amazon and this way I could really stock up. Good deal here.

I normally put honey in my tea as well, but with this one sometimes I don’t, it’s sweet enough in itself. And, it’s caffeine free! For those of you who are trying to stave off the morning cup of coffee in attempts to ween yourself off caffeine like I am, this is awsome

    Tasty alternative in decaffeinated teas

Normally, unless one loves weak herb teas, decaffeinated tea has barely any flavour. The richness of rooibos is enjoyable, and the vanilla essence is a lovely combination.

    Best Tea Ever!

I’ve searched high and low for a naturally decaffinated tea that tastes good and I can’t believe that I finally found it in the Madagascar Vanilla Red tea. The vanilla aroma is so relaxing and the taste is heavenly. I add half milk and half water with a little sweetener. It’s so good that I use it in place of a dessert. I can’t believe that I’ve actually found a tea that I like and that won’t wire me up. I can drink it morning, noon and night. I have a lot of food allergies and this tea doesn’t bother me at all. I’m so thankful that Celestial Seasonings has produced this tea.

This is a great cup of tea. Oddly, better with sugar than with honey. Powerful vanilla flavor. My kids, who are not big tea drinkers, love it, too.

I love tea, drink A LOT of it, and just really cannot stand this Vanilla Red tea. It has a soapy or waxy component to the taste for me. Perhaps it’s the flavoring or perhaps it’s the red tea, but I cannot tolerate the tea at all.

I like many of the CS teas, but this one is bland to my taste.

Made me an avid tea drinker

I believe it was in Best Life magazine that I read about this tea, and about the claimed health benefits of rooibos tea. I picked up a box at Whole Foods and from my first whiff, I was in love. Although my wife is a regular drinker of Starbucks’ chai tea latte, I’ve never been a big tea drinker. (My brief foray into peppermint and chamomille teas notwithstanding; I was young and I was following my father’s lead.) Now I drink at least two cups a day of MVR, plus a Thermos-ful at work. At first I was drinking it with half-and-half and Madhava Pure Organic Raw Agave Nectar, but I’ve cut out the half-and-half. I would prefer to have at least a little caffeine, but I guess I’ll have to drink coffee or black tea for that. (Lipton Black Pearl tea isn’t too bad, and the pyramidal bag is nifty.)

So count me an enthusiastic fan. I am a little surprised at the price here, though, considering that it’s available at Target and Vons for less than $2 per box.

    Tasteless and bland…meh.

I bought this based on it’s many good reviews since I’ve tried and enjoyed many rooibos teas. To my dismay, other reviewers tastes and mine do _not_ agree. I found this tea to be almost tastless, no real vanilla flavor that I can discern. I even tried using two bags and it didn’t help.Adding milk and sugar just made for a mug of sweet-tasting slightly tea-flavored hot water…quite unappealing. Like another reviewer, I also noticed the slight “good tobacco” odor when I opened the box, very weird for a tea.

I’ve been enjoying this tea regularly for several years now. I love Rooibos tea to start with and the vanilla is subtle and not too sweet or fake tasting. If you aren’t familiar with Rooibos teas I describe them as smelling like caramel and twigs! Earthy, slightly toasty and sweet enough to enjoy without adding anything! I’ll continue to buy this as one of my favorite tea staples along with Celestial Seasoning’s Perfectly Pear 🙂

I have to say that I bought this box of tea while on drastic sale at a discount warehouse. I paid like 70 cents for the box. I figured if I didn’t like it, I would just toss it since I paid so little.

I was needing something to replace the chai tea that Lipton used to make that I can no longer find in the store.

So, I brewed up a up one night, added a bit of sugar and some half and half and about died.

This is the BEST tea I’ve had in a long time. It was just sweet enough to not leave that “tea” taste in my mouth, but not so sweet that I was gagging. I love the scent of the hot tea when it’s brewing. I love the scent of the tea bag. I love everything about this tea.

I knew absolutely nothing about it before I purchased it, so it’s nice to know it still has the same amount of antioxidents as green tea and that it’s caffiene free. My daughter loves this tea much better than any others she’s tried.

As soon as possible, I intend to buy some more!

We were already familiar with the tea, so we were pleased to receive it quickly and exactly as advertised. I can recommended this seller.

Celestial Seasons African Tea, Vanilla/Red Blend
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Celestial Seasons African Tea, Madagascar Vanilla Red, caffeine-free Rooibos — my favorite just-before-bed hot tea. I love coffee, and I love tea (Isn’t God gracious with His gifts to us?), but I cannot tolerate any caffeine after 5PM. Caffeine keeps me awake for hours in even trace amounts. This wonderful tea has none! And I love the taste of Rooibos and other African teas. The stores in my area have stopped carrying this brand and blend, so I resorted to Amazon.com as a source of supply. If you like it — and I do — then buying by the small case (6 boxes) is not a major investment. Hope this review helps you out, tea lover.

I have been drinking the Celestial Seasonings Arican Tea, Madagascar Vanilla Red for over a year now and really enjoy the taste. I also drink bulk rooibus tea but like the vanilla that is added to the Celestial brand.

Amazon offered a decent sale price for a set of 6 boxes so thought I would try ordering through them. As usual, Amazon promply lets me know the status of my purchase and soon after ships the order, which arrived quickly and in good order.

I am always a satisfied customer of Amazon. Along with prompt delivery, no sales taxe and no shipping cost over $25, what’s not to like!

    Lovely and comforting

This is one of my favorite teas. It’s sweet enough that I don’t need to add anything to it, it has that wonderful vanilla aroma and taste, plus it’s caffeine-free and full of antioxidants on top of it all. It’s light and fresh, completely different from other herbal teas or the white, green and black teas most people usually drink. Love it.

    My favorite tea

I love this tea. It is the only tea I really like hot. It is also my husband’s favorite tea. I find many teas too bitter, so maybe I like the sweetness of this tea.
